The Summer of 2021 felt like it flew by so we’re combining the IJSA results into one post.

Iowa Simmental Field Day:
The Iowa Simmental Field Day was held in June at the Union County Fairgrounds in Afton.  After cattle check-in on Saturday the IJSA held a meeting, interacted during an AJSA Educational Contest information, and played a rowdy game of kickball.  Showmanship was held Saturday evening with judges were John & Jordan Crall of Albia, Iowa.  Sunday brought the Awards presentation along with the Futurity and Junior shows evaluated by Stan Tarr of Illinois. AJSA Regional & National Classics:
IJSA Members once again attended AJSA Regional & National Classics to participate in the Educational Contests and exhibit their cattle.
Eastern Regional: Jaren Gerdes attended
South Central Regional: Four Iowa Juniors attended- Aubrey Kaisand,  Ty Kitzerow, Caylie Hickman, and Lacey Rouse
National Classic: 60 Iowa youth entered 101 head of cattle

Iowa State Fair 4-H & FFA Shows:
Iowa Junior Simmental members had another banner year in the 4-H and FFA shows at the Iowa State Fair, full results can be viewed on the Iowa State Fair Website. Photographer was Linde’s Livestock Photos.
